
2018 Summer Program
We are excited to announce the opening of our Life Skills Center at our Monroe Location. Our Center houses a “studio apartment” which includes a bedroom, full kitchen, laundry room, recreational room, and magnificent Sensory Gym. This therapeutic program is run by a Speech Therapist and Occupational Therapist. It is designed for children with special needs ages 10 and up. This one of a kind program teaches children daily life skills to promote independence, self advocacy, social interaction, communication, and self confidence.
Some of the areas of focus will include:

Dressing

Grooming/Hygiene

Creating/Following a Schedule

Meal Preparation/Kitchen Safety

Sorting /Doing Laundry

Ordering food at a restaurant/social skills at the table

Household tasks (sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning counters, emptying garbage)

Time management/setting alarm

Money management

Working cooperatively with peers

When: July 2nd-August 10th:
$150/week 4 week minimum
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
